Mamak Melbourne
The other day we went to a Mamak for lunch. Its about 5 minute tram ride and 10 minute walk from the office. Its called Rich Maha. The guys call it Richy (everything in ozzy slang ends with a 'y'). Owned by a Malaysian from Selangor (repressentttingg!!!). The food is just fantastic although I thought the staff were all from Mesia. Embarrassingly got it wrong when I talked in Malay but got the "whad a u talking about' shake of the head. We had tossai and mee goreng mamak.. with teh tarik to wash it all down. Loveddd ittt!!! very authentic. Will definitely make a point to go there more. Kayuu??? syed??? pelita?? khalifah??..... lupa dah semua.. I only know Richies!! :p poyo sikit..
ps.. saja je sebab nak kurang rasa jeles at the food back in Mesia.

Celebrating 6 wonderful years...
Happy 6th anniversary, sayang!! Thank you for the wonderful and happy years together. I can't imagine my life without you in it and am so very grateful for having you and the kids to light up my life.
OK, warning!!! If you cant stand corniness and mushy2ness, please don't read any further!!
I have to say that I am so lucky to have him as my husband. He is a very responsible, understanding and very loving husband. He is really the kind that would do anything for me and the family. He would do a lot of things just to impress me.. Here are a few examples in random order:
1) He is working hard to buff up just so that I will like him more. (You know I love you, regardless!)
2) He reads all Twilight series books so that he can understand my obsession over Edward Cullen and maybe wanna be like him. (OK, Edward does not exists in real world.. nobody's perfect! But you're my version of Edward Cullen! OK- don't puke yet, people!)
3) He wants to pick up a hobby so that we can do things together. Since I am into scrapbooking, he thinks that getting into photography and learning to take better pictures will make me happy. (Of course, I am really happy and touched that he wants to do this!)
4) This is the most important.. he really takes care of the kids, more than what most husband do. And he really love doing it. For that, I am very grateful.
That's only a few.. I dont want to make people puke out of these mushiness.. heheh.. I just want to point out how really grateful I am.. I may take things for granted sometimes, but deep inside I really care and appreciate everything you did. Happy Anniversary dear!

Treasure hunt

I believed we got only a couple unfigured answers which were:
- Q: 50 in 43? - A: Blush : L =50 and 43 is Bush (43rd president). Geram cause the Q should put 43rd instead of 43
- Q: Speilbergs list - A: Schindlers : we were looking all over (walls, signs, etc) for the answer but it was the logo on the floor of an escalator.
A few others we didnt get was due to spelling error and me putting in 2 sachets of sweetener instead of the instructed 1 for the treasure (biggest flop - i feel bad letting my team down).
For the error our excuse was that while hunting in the mall, everybody was so closed and tried to copy or figure out by watching each other. So we were sooo worried that we didnt really copy properly. As for the sachets of sweetener, we had to get the treasure from the organizer and they tricked us into giving 2 while we had to hand in only 1. They also keep pressuring not the see other teams see cause there were like 3 other teams lining up behind me. So I just hurried and stashed it away without looking back.. my bad guys.
But apart from that, I believe we did tremendously well but it was just too close. The only 2 teams that got the really hard questions and so forth. The food on the other hand was superb. Didnt take pics cause was too hungry after the hunt. A special thanks to Shahir and Sakeenah for being great team mates. We sure did have fun!!!!!

Dinner & Dance story
Last Saturday, we attended ERC (ExxonMobil Recreation Club) annual Dinner & Dance. We rarely missed the dinner, mostly because it was always fun. We always have good food, great performances from local artists, great company of friends and most importantly the lucky draws! This year we have Hall of Legends theme, maybe because of the recent demise of King of Pop, Michael Jackson. We didn't dressed up crazily; hubby being a cool and smart looking Jason Mraz, and I dressed up as a... err..well, me? But when I looked at the pictures, I do look like a vampire, with the chalky face and red eyes.. hahaha.. still on Twilight fever, maybe?
Back to the dinner, this year it was quite a disappointment. The whole gang was not there, we didn't dressed up crazily like during the Masquerade year (that was the best ever!), and there was no famous artists performing! The live band was kinda boring, although it picked up towards the end when people were dancing, and the lucky draws prizes are not that attractive, not as previous years!!! Not that I am that lucky (I only got lucky once!). The Michael Jackson impersonator and dancers are boring.. and even the food was a disappointment!! Usually we have 7-8 chinese course, which I liked a lot, but this year we have this fusion of Malay and Indian food, to a point of just weird. It's more like a wedding dinner rather than Dinner & Dance. Where's the fun in that?
However, the comedians are hilarious!! (You can check them out at their site ) Deeply politically influenced, it was really funny if you know the political chaos in our beloved nation. Selamba je kutuk, tara hal... and the MCs were really good too! They are DJs from Light FM. At least they made it a little bit interesting. Anyway, all in all.. we had fun.. took some pictures (although not as much as we want to), and danced to a couple of songs. The band's choice of songs are not bad towards the end, gearing more for the younger generations. Some friends joined in the dance floor.. I found out that one friend can't really dance.. hahah.. (jangan marah yer)
